CERT Training at St. Louis Community College

  Community Emergency Response Team Training (CERT)  Have you ever thought “What would I do if a tornado struck my subdivision?” or “What types of natural disasters can happen in St. Louis?”We have the answers.  Community Emergency Response Team Training (CERT) is a series of classes that prepare you to help your community in the event of a crisis. Through lectures and hands-on activities, professional emergency responders will teach you about emergency and disaster preparedness, while you receive training in basic response skills such as fire safety, team organization, light search and rescue, and medical operations. Training will conclude with a full-scale disaster exercise in a tornado simulation (of-site location: 1001 Assembly Pkwy, Fenton, MO 63026) on Saturday, March 15, 9am-3pm. Public Hearings on Surveillance Use Plans

  Public hearings are scheduled for  Dec. 11  and  Dec. 12  to discuss surveillance use plans, following the passage of  BB185/Community Control Over Police Surveillance  legislation last session. These hearings will provide a platform for public input and transparency. The Public Safety Committee is scheduled to vote on the plans  Thursday, D ec. 12 .
